Map of BelgiumSome cities on the map of Belgium.
Belgium is situated between Holland (in the North), Germany and Luxemburg (in the East), France (in the South) and the North Sea (in the West). When you look at the map of Belgium you’ll see that the capital Brussels is virtually in the geographical centre of the country. Brussels is the capital of the country and of the European Union. The city has about 1 million inhabitants. What you can’t see on the map of Belgium is the so called “linguistic border”. This non-physical border divides the county into two parts: the Northern part (called Flanders) where Flemish (Dutch) is spoken and the Southern part (called Wallonia) where French is spoken. Flanders has about 6 million inhabitants and Wallonia some 4 million. The map of Belgium shows the most important cities of both parts. In the North you’ll find places like Ghent, Antwerp, Brussels and Bruges, while in the South cities like Namur, Liège, Mons and Tournai are important. To view a map of Belgium click here . On this website you’ll find not only a map, but also interesting and useful information on hotels, restaurants, airports, airlines, transport, weather, history, the Belgian government, the European Union and much more.
